OUR STORY
Emerge Special Occasion Bracelets are made with love by our daughter Charlotte. Ever since Charlotte was a little girl, she loved jewelry. She made her own necklaces and loved to give them as gifts. She had a special one of her own that she wanted to wear everyday. She called it her "special occasion necklace" We used to try to get her to save this necklace and wear it only on what WE considered special occasions. Charlotte insisted she wanted to wear it daily. She looked at us like we were crazy when we suggested she not wear it to school for example, because school was an every day occurrence. "Mommy, I love school, school is a special occasion"...and so it went, Charlotte lives her life to the fullest, each day for her IS a special occasion.
She originally made these bracelets for her brothers and her father, something different than a necklace.
She makes these bracelets each with a butterfly that represents the metamorphosis she has experienced in her life, specifically during her time at Celebrate the Children. CTC is the school that helped Charlotte emerge into the beautiful butterfly that she is today.
A portion of the proceeds of each bracelet will be given to Celebrate the Children. CTC is a non- profit, state approved private school, which serves a diverse range of students aged 3-21 with autism and other challenges in relating and communication.
Our HOPE
Our hope is that each person who wears a special occasion bracelet lives their days knowing that life is a gift. Each day is to be celebrated! We hope that this bracelet is a helpful reminder to you of how lucky we are to be alive, how important each moment is, how important it is to focus on the now and make it a special occasion.
We also hope to increase awareness to the autistic community and the differently abled. We hope that you can, even for a moment in your day, remember that we are all one. We all, no matter our abilities, are here to make a difference in this world. We hope that this bracelet brings you joy and that you, like Charlotte, enjoy each moment, live with gratitude and to your fullest potential. You are a beautiful butterfly, use your wings and fly....
